Messrs Jenkinson's Show Jumping Team plays a valuable role in building the profile of the wider A.W. Jenkinson businesses and in promoting the company's specialist bedding and gallop products. The pro-am team competes throughout the uK and further afield in Europe and has been successful at high level.
The team operates a stable of around a dozen horses, including six competitive horses, made up of bought-in geldings and mares and home-bred young stock sired by leading European show jumping stallions.
The jumpers are competed by Richard Jenkinson and Scotland's Douglas Duffin, who also acts as the team trainer. Richard is supported by two grooms at Clifton; Treena Lang and show groom, Nina Draj. Douglas operates his own yard at Dollar in Fife where three of the Team's horses are stabled and trained.
Jenkinson's sponsor a number of events throughout the UK. Support ranges from class sponsorship to full event support. The Company's visible presence is valuable in raising the profile for their high quality bedding, arena and gallop products.
The team is carried by its own specially constructed transporter, liveried in Jenkinson colours. This high specification unit includes luxurious self-contained extendable accommodation, complete with its own power generation, kitchen, lounge area, bathroom and berths for up to six team members, as well as six horses.
