Stock Person / General Farm Worker

As a result of our continuing growth, we now require a Stock Person / General Farm Worker to join the team at Whinfell Park Farm, Brougham.

Key Duties

• Undertaking animal welfare and daily care of livestock at Whinfell Park Farm, including cleaning, feeding, watering and all factors relating to maintenance, breeding and good health to ensure a clean and healthy environment is maintained.
• Assisting in the selection and purchase of suitable livestock for Whinfell Park Farm.
• Assisting with sales of animals produced.
• Undertaking and facilitating the security and cleaning of farm buildings including livestock accommodation, stores and land on the farm to ensure a safe and tidy environment at all times.
• Maintaining all farm buildings and machinery in a good state of repair to ensure they are kept in good working order.
• Ensuring adequate safety at the farm for all animals, staff and visitors complying with all relevant Health & Safety and Farm policies.
• Other duties consistent with the successful management of Whinfell Park Farm as reasonably directed by the Farm Manager.

It is likely that the successful candidate will have experience of working in a similar role, however full training will be given.

A full UK Driving Licence will be required.

Cottage available.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and ability.
