Our Roots - as important to our business as to the trees we depend on

Our business started life in the late 1960s with a single tractor and trailer combination collecting sawdust from mills in the Penrith area for delivery to nearby farms.

Since then we have grown organically using our own resources to acquire the land, buildings and machinery needed to handle over 2 million tonnes annually of roundwood, chips, sawdust, bark and other timber co-products from sawmills and other wood processing industries in the UK and, when required, mainland Europe.
